RRD researches and develops new, scalable methods and technologies of personalized 3D analysis of human movement, meant to be applied in the daily routine of every professional in rehabilitation, physical therapy, ergonomics and sports. Other important applications are: guarding healthy physical load exposure at work, ‘remote therapy’ at home and improving mobility and dynamic balance in healthy aging. Newly developed movement sensor-based 3D analysis of human movement technologies and turn key practical applications are, and were, applied in (inter-)national research projects for clinical gait analysis, for evaluation of novel rehabilitation aids, like orthoses and exoskeletons, for remote treatment in physical therapy, for back load exposure monitoring at work and for research into performance and injury prevention in sports.
