MSD-CARE

MSD-CARE (2024-2025) addresses musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs) among formal and informal caregivers in North-West Europe, who frequently experience musculoskeletal-related pain and absenteeism Despite cost-effective solutions (like exoskeletons), uptake remains low due to soft barriers-lack of awareness, socio-behavioral resistance, and limited decision-support tools.

Through focus groups, workshops (e.g., exoskeleton trials at Galway, Enschede and Göttingen), and transnational analysis, MSD-CARE co-develops strategies with caregivers, employers, policymakers, and researchers. It aims to equip caregivers with decision tools and recommendations, fostering long-term adoption of MSD-prevention technologies and improved occupational health.
