Privacy declaration

Your privacy is of great importance to RRD. We therefore comply with the privacy law.

This means that your data is safe with us and that we only use it for relevant purposes. In this privacy statement, we explain what we at RRD do with the information that we acquire from you. If you have any questions or want to know exactly what information of yours we are keeping, please contact the Data Protection Officer of RRD fg@rrd.nl.

Use of personal data:

If you participate in one of our studies or follow a course with us, we sometimes need some information from you. This could, among others, be:

  •  Name and address
  • Phone number
  • E-mail address
  • Gender
  • Date of birth

In some cases, information will be needed about the treating physician or more specific information about the condition for which the research is conducted.

The law calls this “personal data” and says that we can only use it if we explain exactly why and for what reason we collect it. We will therefore never ask for more data than is absolutely necessary for the purpose of the research and we will not provide this information to other companies or authorities without your permission.

Participation in research:

When taking part in a research project, we must first register you. You must then provide us with information about yourself so that we know who you are and, depending on the research, we usually require a few more personal details. By default, we keep this information separate so that we can later prove, if necessary, that you were the person who took part in the research project.

During our research, we will restrict access to your personal data to only those who are actually engaged in this research. Of course we try to make as little use as possible of this personal information, to this end your name is replaced with a code, so that the data from the research can no longer be linked directly to you as a person. We call this pseudonymisation and only the project manager can make a link between your personal information and this data by means of the registration data.

If you decide to stop participating in the study, we will no longer collect data from that moment onwards. Already collected and pseudonymised data remains within the research until it reaches the predetermined retention period. Your data will then be classified as inactive and deleted as soon as all statutory retention periods have expired.

Contact Form:

By using the contact form on our website you can ask us any questions or make requests. In doing so you must fill in certain information. We keep this information for six months after we are sure that you are satisfied with our response. This way we can easily access the information in subsequent questions that you may have.

Provision to other companies or institutions:

We will only give your personal data to other companies or institutions if this has been agreed with you in advance or if we are legally obliged to provide data (for example, if the legislator demands this when checking the integrity of our research). In the first case, we have concluded a cooperation agreement or a processor agreement in which the security of the data is guaranteed and the purpose of sharing the data is clearly defined.

Security of personal data is of great importance to us. In every research project we also keep track of the actions we take to protect your privacy. This information can be requested from our Data Protection Officer.
