The eHealth group of Roessingh Research and Development (RRD) works in national and international consortia on research projects in which innovative care technologies and services are designed, developed, and evaluated. Therefore, the eHealth group has all the expertise to cover the complete trajectory of functional and technological design to implementation in the care context.

Junior Researcher

Job activities

How can we involve end-users and stakeholders in an innovative way in the development process of eHealth applications? How can we make sure that researchers become part of the daily care practice and convert their experiences in innovative care solutions? How do you develop a proper implementation strategy for eHealth innovations in close collaboration with care professionals? As a junior researcher you will work on these challenges, and you will contribute to the development and implementation of innovative eHealth applications in daily care. You will contribute to:

  • Executing and analysis of design studies of new eHealth interventions
  • Developing of care paths and protocols in which eHealth plays an important role
  • Managing a European project, aimed at action research for eHealth

You will publish the results of your research in scientific journals, present them at scientific conferences, and this will lead to a PhD thesis on the topic of actions research within the eHealth context.

What do we ask?

A driven and enthusiastic researcher with an interest in eHealth. You have (nearly) completed your education at a university level (MSc) and a background in, for example, health sciences, psychology, industrial design, or communication sciences. Excellent communication skills in Dutch and English (in speaking and writing) are a prerequisite, given the international, multidisciplinary character of the research and the high amount of contact with colleagues, clients and other end-users. You have good organizational skills, are precise, and persistent. A course in Good Clinical Practice will be offered to you. Prior experience in publishing scientific work is a plus.

What do we offer?

A challenging function, starting December 1 2019 (open for discussion) for a period of 4 years for 36 hours per week. The function falls under the collective labour agreement for Dutch hospitals, and salary is set between € 2665,- to € 3917,- per month, before taxes, depending on experience and education.
