A career within Roessingh Research and Development (RRD) means working on current and future healthcare in a multidisciplinary academic team. We perform high-quality, application-oriented research into new technologies. Our research focuses mainly on rehabilitation care and improving the independence of chronically disabled patients in their own surroundings with the help of telemedicine applications.
Close links with everyday practice
RRD is associated with Roessingh, Centre for rehabilitation in Enschede. We have about 45 employees ranging from biomedical engineers, movement scientists, communication scientists and computer scientists to rehabilitation physicians, epidemiologists and psychologists.
RRD has a structural collaboration agreement with the University of Twente and Saxion University of Applied Sciences, is part of the relevant regional, national and international networks, and works intensively with national and international companies, research centres and healthcare institutions.
We provide an academic working climate in the direct vicinity of healthcare and we encourage our researchers to apply for individual grants that contribute to their scientific development. Furthermore, we invest in the personal growth of our employees through training, education and the sharing of knowledge.
